A hand-knit garment lives or dies on the yarn. The wrong fibre will not hold the gauge, will not drape the way the design needs, and will not feel like a luxury piece in hand. Sourcing it, confirming it, and getting it to the artisan in the right quantity is a project in itself.
KOCO sources yarn as part of production. We work with Australian merino, mohair, silk and specialty fibres, arrange custom spinning and dyeing where a stock yarn will not do, and send samples so you can confirm hand feel and gauge before knitting begins. We also knit from yarn you supply.

Sourcing or spinning
We source a stock yarn where one fits, or arrange custom spinning and dyeing where none does. Sustainable and recycled options are offered where viable.
Sample for approval
We send yarn samples so you can confirm hand feel and gauge against the written pattern before knitting begins.
Matched to production
The approved yarn is matched to the tension swatch so gauge holds across the run, and delivered to the artisan who knits the garment.
